Human trafficking: Bangladesh film director held in Malaysia

A Bangladeshi film director has been detained in Kuala Lumpur for his alleged involvement in human trafficking in the name of arranging a cultural programme in Malaysia.
Malaysian police detained film director Ananya Mamun along with his associate Miraz around 5:30 pm (local time) on Sunday, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
Mamun went to Malaysia along with 57 people including singers and artists from Bangladesh in the name of arranging a cultural function titled "Cinematic Bangladeshi Nights" through illegal means.
