Govt okays 3 draft laws

The cabinet today approved drafts of three legislations relating to the establishment of a research institute, a development authority and a veterinary council.
The three draft laws are: Housing and Building Research Institutes Act 2016, Chittagong Development Authority Act 2016 and Bangladesh Veterinary Council Act 2016.

The PM and her cabinet members adopted a condolence motion for the deaths of Gaibandha MP Manzurul Islam Liton and Appellate Division Justice Md Bazlur Rahman.
MP Liton was murdered by unknown assailants on Saturday while Justice Bazlur died of cancer yesterday.
