Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) rescued a youth in Delduar upazila on Sunday, a day after his abduction.

The elite force also detained three alleged abductors and recovered the victim's motorbike from their possession.

The arrestees are Mohammad Shawon, 27, and Jakir Hossain, 53, of Nalua village and Ferdous Miah, 19, of Pathrail village. 

Delduar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jahirul Islam said Delwar Hossain, 23, an expatriate in Saudi Arabia and resident of Jhunkai village, went to visit Elasin Bridge on Saturday.

Six youths, introducing themselves as policemen, took Delwar from Kalabaghan area to Jakir's house and demanded Tk 50,000 from his family members for his release.

A team of Rab-12 raided Jakir's house by tracking his cell phone location and rescued Delwar.
