Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two brothers with counterfeit Indian currency from a mango orchard at Sat Roshia village in Shibganj upazila on Sunday.

The arrestees are Mohammad Ujjal, 28, and Mohammad Sujal, 24, sons of Mainul Islam of Housenagar village.

A team of Rab-5 from the district camp raided a mango orchard in Sat Roshia and arrested Ujjal and Sujal. Rab recovered around Rs 7 lakh counterfeit Indian currency, said Squadron Leader Mohammad Sayeed Abdullah Murad, commander of the Rab camp.

Rab handed them and the currency over to Shibganj Police Station.
