Police recovered the body of an unidentified woman from Turag River in Kaundia area of Savar on Saturday night.

Officer-in-Charge of Savar Model Police Station Mohshinul Kadir said locals spotted the body around 11:00pm and informed them. They recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.

The reason behind her death could be known after the autopsy, said the OC.

Mentionable, on Friday evening, a boat carrying 13 people capsized in the river in Mohammadpur area. Though 10 people managed to swim ashore, three people are still missing.

Divers from Mohammadpur Fire Station conducted a search but could not recover any body.
