UN, world leaders express condolences

UN secretary general and world leaders have sent their condolences to the families of victims who died in the US-Bangla plane crash in Kathmandu on Monday.

UN Secretary General António Guterres conveyed his deepest sympathies to the government and people of Bangladesh as well as to the families and loved ones of the victims.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in a message to President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved families over the loss of lives in the Kathmandu plane crash.

India, the United States, Canada and heads of missions of the European Union in Bangladesh also expressed their condolences and sympathies to the people of Bangladesh for the loss of lives in the plane crash.
