At least two persons were killed and another was injured in separate road accidents across the country on Tuesday.

In Dinajpur, bicyclist Mamunur Rashid, 44, was killed on the spot when a speeding truck hit his cycle in Panchmath area in Akkelpur upazila while he was returning home, reports our local correspondent.

He is the son of Late Daraz Uddin of Mahabattpur village under Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat district.

Meanwhile in Gopalganj, Forhad Sheikh, 40, was killed after a bus of Golden Line hit his motorbike in Gimadanga area, injuring him and another person critically, Firoj Ahmed, sub-inspector of Tungipara Police Station, said quoting locals and witnesses.

The injured were rushed to Gopalganj General Hospital where Forhad succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment, doctors said. 

The other injured in the incident was later shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital, the police official added.

No further details could be known immediately.
