Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, niece of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, gave birth to a baby girl yesterday, according to Gono Bhaban sources.

"Chris Percy and I are very pleased to announce the birth of our daughter Azalea Joy Percy," Tulip announced in a tweet yesterday after giving birth at Royal Free Hospital in London, reports BSS.

"Staff at @RoyalFreeNHS were absolutely amazing," it read.

The second of three children of Shafiq Siddiq and Sheikh Rehana and granddaughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Tulip was born on September 16, 1982 at Mitcham of  London. In 2013, she married Christian William St John Percy, a Cambridge-educated company director and strategy consultant with a background in British Civil Service.

In May 2015, she was elected a member of parliament from Hampstead and Kilburn from Labour Party.
