Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (Ruet) celebrates its 12th founding anniversary today.
Vice Chancellor Prof Md Rafiqul Alam Beg will inaugurate the day by hoisting the national and university flag at university senate administration building at 9:00am. Later student, teachers and staff will bring out a colourful procession on the campus.
The university started its journey in 1964 as Rajshahi Engineering College with only six departments and 122 students. It was upgraded to a university in 2003 and now Ruet has 14 departments, 200 Teachers and 3,000 students under three faculties.
