Road crashes kill 10
At least ten people were killed in separate road accidents across the country yesterday.
In Kushtia, four persons were killed in a bus-autorickshaw collision on Kushtia-Khulna highway, police said. Two of the deceased were Monayem,55, and Manwar, 60.
The incident also injured 10 people.
In Mymensingh, schoolgirls Sonia, 13, and Kulsum, 13, were killed after their vehicle was hit by a truck at Nandail municipality, police said. The girls were died at a local hospital.
In another incident, on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, a couple Nargis, 35, and Moazzam,40 were killed as their vehicle skidded off the road, witnesses told police.
The incident injured their children Jui, 7, and Nadil, 5.
In Narsingdi, primary school teacher Fatema Tuz Johra Mukta, 30, was killed in a truck-CNG run auto-rickshaw collision on Narsingdi-Raipura road, reports our correspondent.
The incident also left four others injured.
Meanwhile in Dinajpur, Solaiman Ali, 70, was killed on Dinajpur-Panchagarh highway, after being hit by a speeding vehicle, police said.
