An international scientific conference and a health fair will be held at Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons auditorium in the capital's Mohakhali on December 8 and 9, marking the 5th anniversary of Public Health Foundation of Bangladesh (phfbd), a non-profitable organisation.

The theme of the conference is "Public health approach towards achieving universal health coverage".

The health fair, first of its kind in the country, will display innovations in healthcare or health delivery system. Two best healthcare innovations to be displayed in the fair will be awarded by phfbd, said a press release. Peoples from all strata, including government representatives,administrators, and NGO activists, have been requested to visit the health fair.

Other programmes include oral and poster presentations, competitions, interactive workshops and distribution of public health awards.

Recent innovative approaches and challenges in public health arena will be shared at the scientific sessions of the conference by public health experts, researchers, clinicians, nutritionistsa and other scientific community from home and abroad.
