Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday inaugurated the much-awaited 450-metre Mawna flyover on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.
Abdul Monem Ltd, a construction firm, erected the flyover under the supervision of the 17 ECB of Bangladesh Army.
The work on the flyover with 450-metre approach road was completed in about two years, three months ahead of the stipulated time, at a cost of Tk 70 crore.
It is situated at Mawna intersection under Sreepur upazila, 60 kilometres off the capital.
