Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has been nominated for the World Education Congress (WEC) 2017 award in recognition of his contribution to education sector in Bangladesh.

The award, consisting of a trophy and a citation, will be handed over to Nahid at the sixth congress of WEC scheduled to be held on November 23 and 24 in Mumbai of India, says a media statement of the education ministry.

Nahid has also been invited to deliver a speech and share his experience at the conference.
