Rail communications on Khulna-Kolkata route will be launched on April 8. Railway sources said the train, Moitree Exprees, will reach Kolkata via Benapole-Petrapole station.

SN Agarwal, general manager, East Zone Railway of India, visited the border station on Friday.

Habibur Rahman, additional general manager, Bangladesh Railway, said passengers would be able to board the train from Jessore, Benapole and Noapara stations.  Tickets will also be available online.
