Satkania police arrested a fugitive “leader of the killing mission squad” of Jamaat-e-Islami, also the prime accused in Satkania Jubo league leader Jahirul Alam murder case, in Deodighi of Chittagong on Monday night.

After interrogating the arrestee, Chhagir Ahmed, 49, of Bakshirkhil of Satkania, police recovered a local light gun and two cartridges from under a pile of bricks near Deodighi graveyard in Satkania upazila, said Rafikul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Satkania Police Station. 

Chhagir has three more criminal cases filed against him with the police station.
