The teenager who sustained injuries while taking a selfie in front of a moving train died while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital yesterday noon.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Hasan, 15, son of Alauddin Ahmed of Lalbagh area in Sitakunda upazila.

Mohammad Zafar Ahmed, a relative, said Hasan was admitted to CMCH on Friday noon as he and his friend sustained injuries while taking selfie standing next to the rail tracks.

On Friday, the two were returning home after the Juma prayers. On the way they were taking selfies standing aside the rail tracks when a train hit them, said Sub-inspector Alauddin Talukdar of CMCH police outpost.
