Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his re-election on Sunday, wishing him success in office, and the Russian Federation and its people continued peace, progress and prosperity.

“People of Bangladesh always consider you as a trusted friend of Bangladesh and thank you for your personal engagement to participate and assist in the development of Bangladesh,” she said in a message yesterday. Hasina also invited Putin to visit Bangladesh.
