The government will provide food assistance to the flood-affected people of the haor regions under Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme for the next three months, said Disaster Management and Relief Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya yesterday.

"The government will also…provide rice at Tk 10 per kg. The assistance will continue in the haor areas until the people recover," he said while distributing relief goods and exchanging views with the flood-hit haor people at Lakkhan Sri union council under Sunamganj Sadar upazila.
