The government will float international tender for construction of the 142-storey Iconic Tower in the Purbachal before Eid-ul-Fitr, Housing Minister Mosharraf Hossain told parliament yesterday. 

The minister also said Purbachal will be the country's first smart city having all sorts of modern facilities for its residents. 

“We will float international tender before the Eid to construct the Iconic Tower at Purbachal,” he said. 

Once implemented, the project will facilitate trade and commerce and also create job opportunities, he added.
