Today is the 12th death anniversary of Golam Rasul Mallik, a freedom fighter and former chief editor of now-defunct Eastern News Agency.

On the occasion, destitute feeding and Quran khwani will be held at his residence after Asr prayers, said a press release.

A pioneer in Journalism, Golam Rasul was elected chairman of Commonwealth Press Union's Bangladesh wing three times and was the first member of Bangladesh Press Institute.
