The government has taken a bunch of initiatives to face the challenge of bringing qualitative change to the country's education, said Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid yesterday.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 15th international scientific conference titled “Role of Livestock and Fisheries towards a Sustainable Food System for a Middle Income Country like Bangladesh” at Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU).

Around 250 scientists, researchers and educationists from India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea and Bangladesh are participating in the two-day conference.

CVASU VC Prof Dr Gautam Buddha Das presided over the inaugural ceremony.
