Dhaka University Mass Communication and Journalism Alumni Association (DUMCJAA) yesterday formed a new executive committee with Abu Alam Md Shahid Khan and Prof Mofizur Rahman as president and general secretary respectively.

The 41-member committee was formed at its 7th annual general meeting at the university's Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.

Other members are: Kazi Rownak Hossain, Farida Yasmin, Kazi Moazzem Hossain, and Dr M Kamal Uddin Jasim as vice presidents; Sabrina Sultana Chowdhury, Mir Attaqui Masruzaman, Gias Uddin Ahmed, Sanjib Chatterjee, Ahmed Pipul, Junaid Ahmad Halim, Sujan Mahmud, and Jesmin Jahan Moon as joint secretaries; Tariqul Islam Khan, treasurer; Mahmood Salahuddin Chowdhury, organising secretary; Md Asaduzzaman Kajol, office secretary; and Anwarul Azim, communication secretary.

DU Vice-Chancellor and chief patron of the DUMCJAA Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Prof Dr Sakhawat Ali Khan and Chief Information Commissioner Prof Dr Golam Rahman, were present.
