Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) yesterday destroyed more than five lakh packets of litchi jelly of Yoko Food and Agro Limited after finding those harmful for human health.

A team of DSCC destroyed the jelly at Nagar Bhaban under supervision of the safe food court. They also filed a case against Atiar Rahman, managing director of the company, located at Armanitola.

Earlier, as per the health department's ongoing drive, they seized the items from different markets and sent those to the DSCC laboratory for testing. The results showed that the product was harmful for human health, said a press release.
