Today is the fifth death anniversary of former Awami League general secretary Abdul Jalil.

On the occasion, a doa mahfil will be held after Zohr prayers at his native village Chakpran in Naogaon.

On this day in 2013, he died at a Singapore hospital, aged 74. Jalil, who was elected lawmaker from Naogaon-5 for four terms, was also a minister during AL's 1996-2001 tenure.
