A Dhaka court yesterday for the 24th time asked the detective branch of police to submit on July 3 the probe report of a case filed over the killing of publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan in October 2015.

Metropolitan Magistrate Golam Nabi passed the order after DB Inspector Fazlur Rahman, the case's investigation officer, failed to submit any.

Earlier on April 13, the same court asked the detectives to submit the report by yesterday. Court sources said the IO did not explain as to why it was being delayed. 

Dipan, 43, publisher of Jagriti Prokashoni, was hacked to death inside his office on the second floor of Aziz Cooperative Super Market in Shahbagh on October 31, 2015.

Later, his wife Razia Rahman filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station.
