DataSoft Bangladesh has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Transport and Communication Channels of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to advise and install IoT (Internet of Things)-based toll management solution for its Matadi Bridge.

The contract was signed on October 18 in DRC, said a press release.

Led by DRC's proposed honorary consuls in Dhaka and Chittagong, Nazir Alam and Ziauddin Adil, a team from the DRC's transport and communication channels ministry visited Bangladesh in July.

The team included Francis W Lengenase, director general, and Frederick K Vetukala, operating director. They met Zunaid Ahmed Palak, state minister for ICT.

Later, M Manjur Mahmud, director and COO of DataSoft, and his team visited DRC to sign the contract. During their visit, the team met Jose Makila Sumanda, vice premier minister of transport and communication channels, and Tenday Luaba, honorary consul of DRC in the UK.

The project work has alrea-dy been started and should be finished in 18 months.
