Bus driver, helper held with 9,130 Yaba pills in capital
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab)-2 detained a bus driver and his helper with 9,130 Yaba pills on the capital's Manik Mia Avenue early yesterday.
During primary interrogation, Md Suman, 33, driver of Hanif Paribahan, and helper Md Faruk Alam, 39, admitted that they used to transport the contraband pills from Cox's Bazar to different districts for drug peddlers, said Lt Col Md Anwar Uzzaman, commanding officer of Rab-2.
Rab also seized the bus that came from Cox's Bazar.
Mahbubur Rahman, general manager of Hanif Paribahan, told The Daily Star that the management sacked the two yesterday.
