Bridge gaps among stakeholders for agriculture development
The gap among stakeholders, who work for the cause of agriculture sector development in the country, should be bridged, said participants at a seminar in the city yesterday.
They noted that agriculture scientists, extension workers, farm broadcasters, and agriculture journalists -- all work for a common goal of advancing agricultural developments in the country. So, they said, officials and media people working in the agriculture field needed to bridge the gap and cooperate each other for the greater cause of the farm sector.
Agriculture Information Service (AIS) organised the seminar "Role of Media in Agriculture Development" in its conference room at the capital's Khamarbari.
Speaking as the chief guest, Agriculture Secretary Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah sought media cooperation in popularising new technologies and breeds among the farming community. He also appreciated media's role in projecting areas where things are not always working well.
