The body of a seven-year-old boy was found floating 18 hours after he drowned in a pond at Birganj upazila in Dinajpur yesterday.

Md Mostakim, son of Shahidul Islam of village Matikura, drowned while bathing in the pond near his house on Thursday afternoon but the family members did not find the body till yesterday morning.

Mozidul Islam Master, chairman of Mohanpur union parishad, confirmed the incident.
