A book reading festival was held on Sylhet Central Shaheed Minar premises yesterday, attended by more than 500 students. “Innovator” a voluntary organisation has been organising it since 2006.

The students were given copies of “Nishiddho Loban” by Syed Shamsul Haque and “Golpota Jeno Sesh Na Hoy” by Selina Hossain and will participate in a competition February 17 next year based on the books on the Liberation War, said the organisers.

Eminent author Selina Hossain and former parliamentarian Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury were present.
