The 261 full-fledged executive committee of the Chittagong University (CU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was dissolved by its central committee yesterday.

Confirming the decision, BCL central committee's Office Secretary Md Delowar Hossain Shahjada told The Daily Star that the decision was taken at an emergency meeting in Dhaka University's Madhur Canteen where top central leaders, including BCL central committee's President Saifur Rahman Shohag and its General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain, were present.

New committee for the CU unit will be formed soon, Shahjada said.
