Sharif Adibur Rahman, a class VI student of European Standard School in the capital's Dhanmondi, has become runner-up in Aloha Mental Arithmetic International Competition-2016, held recently in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, said a press release yesterday.

Every year nearly 50,000 students from 32 countries including Bangladesh, Russia, and the USA participate in this competition. Adib is the second son of former judge Sharif Lutfor Rahman and grandson of late educationist Prof ANM Abdul Mannan Khan.
