Prof Atiqul Islam has been appointed as vice-chancellor of North South University by the Chancellor and President of Bangladesh, said a press release.

He officially joined the university as VC yesterday.

Earlier, he served as the pro-VC of Edith Cowan University in Australia and dean of the Faculty of Business and Government at the University of Canberra.

He also served at the University of Sydney, NSW, Curtin University, University of Canterbury and the National University of Singapore.
