A daylong art camp titled “Equality through dignity” was held at the Institute of Fine Arts in Chittagong city yesterday.

With the theme “Now is the time to change women's lives with equal dignity”, the campaign was organised by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) and Institute of Fine Arts of Chittagong University. Around 47 students of the institute participated in the event that started around 10:00am.

Poet and veteran journalist Abul Momen was the chief guest and Prof Foyejul Azim of the institute was a special guest. Shaela Sharmin, director of the institute, chaired the programme and Banasree Mitra Niyogi, gender adviser to MJF, was a discussant.

The programme continued till 5:00pm. Ten artworks were selected and their artistes awarded.

All the artworks would be used in future for such campaigns, said the organisers.
