A Lalmonirhat court has issued arrest warrants against Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Nayeem Nizam and its Publisher Moynal Hossain Chowdhury in a case filed in 2014. The warrant was issued on January 2.

Former state minister Motahar Hossain filed the case against the two and Lalmonihat correspondent of the daily Rezaul Karim Manik in connection with a story  published on April 9, 2014 on the first page of the newspaper under the headline "Sabekder Amalnama: Ration Dealer Sabek Protimontri Motaharer Shato Koti Taka".
