A Chittagong court yesterday sent three bankers to jail in two graft cases filed by Anti-Corruption Commission after they had surrendered.

Shamsul Alam is senior vice president (SVP) and also manager of NRB Global Bank's Khatunganj Branch; Aminur Rashid SVP of Al Arafah Islami Bank's Jubli Road Branch; and Shohel Rana, senior principal officer of its Khatunganj Branch.

They surrendered after completion of their bail, said Public Prosecutor of ACC Kazi Sanowar Ahmed Lavlu.

ACC filed the cases with Double Mooring Police Station in March accusing them of embezzling Tk 59.27 crore from Al-Arafah Islami Bank's Agrabad Branch.
