Noted actor Suborna Mustafa's career spans many years in television as well as theatre. Over the years, the actor's performance has garnered critical acclaim both on screen and on stage. Her reputation has not slowed down her passion for acting and she is still busy with new TV plays. This month she will begin shooting for a new film titled “Gohin Baluchor”, directed by Badrul Anam Saud. The entire film unit will travel to the outskirts of Dhaka on December 21, where shooting will commence from the following day.

In the film, Suborna Mustafa will essay the role of Asma, and the plot revolves around bands of thieves. Asma is the leader of a rival thieving group, and about her new gritty role, the actor said, “All I can say is that 'Gohin Baluchor' will be different from what the audience is used to in cinema, and the director is taking steps to ensure it will be a success upon release.”

Suborna Mustafa's performance in previous films has met great praise. Her role in “Noyoner Alo” went down as unforgettable, and is still beloved by her fans. Other films she has worked in include “Guddi”, “Shuruz Miya”, “Laal Shobujer Pala”, “Notun Bou”, “Stree” and “Durotto”. Her career on the small screen is also illustrious; currently the actor is seen in the TV play “Orntojatra” which is aired on Ekushey TV. She is currently also busy on the radio, doing cricket commentary.
