A Dhaka court today ordered to send BNP leader Amanullah Aman to jail on his surrender before it in four cases filed for violence committed during opposition's hartals and blockades last year.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Taibul Hassan passed the order after rejecting his bail prayer when Aman appeared before it and sought bail in the cases.

The cases were filed with Keraniganj Police Station on different dates in November and December last year for damaging and torching vehicles and assaulting police and preventing them from discharging their duties during the hartals and blockades enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance (now 19-party alliance).
