20 hurt in Netrakona clash

At least 20 persons were injured in a clash over building a dam over 'Patkuri River' at Bajgon village under Kendua upazila in Netrakona yesterday morning.Seriously injured Ahamed Hossen, 45, Rubal Mia, 25, Khokon Mia, 30, Manjil Haque, 32, Al-Amin, 25 and Azim uddin were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Others were treated at Kendua Upazila Health Complex. Police sources said tension was running for few days between Deluar Hossain and Haider Ali group over building the dam. Yesterday morning, at one stage of altercation, both the group members attacked each others with sharp weapons. Two cases were filed with Kendua thana in this connection.
