On this day in1985, landless people established their rights by shedding blood on government khas lands of Ghughudaha Beel (water body) in Shanthia upazila.

Over 20,000 landless people clashed with land grabbers to establish their rights on khas lands. Two landless, Intaz Ali and Lalmohon were killed by land grabbers.
