He was accompanied by his wife Anwara Begum, Chief of Army Staff Lt General Moeen U Ahmed, Chittagong GOC Major General Sina Ibn Jamil, the principal staff officer of army and other high military and civil officials.

The president flew in a helicopter to the newly established Nilgiri tourist resort in the panoramic hill range at noon. He went round the Nilgiri Tourist Centre and tribal Mro Empupara area.

Donating Tk 1 lakh for development of Mro tribes and Tk 50,000 for tribal cultural artistes, the president assured all-out assistance of protecting the culture and tradition of the indigenous people.

GOC Major General Sina Ibn Jamil also donated Tk 50,000 for the development of Empupara area.

The president left for the capital about 3:20pm.
