Air Commodore Ziaur Rahman new air chief

Air Commodore Shah Md Ziaur Rahman has been appointed chief of the air staff with effect from the forenoon of April 8.According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Defence yesterday, he replaces Air Vice-Marshal Fakhrul Azam. "Air Vice-Marshal Fakhrul Azam, ndc, psc, will go into retirement with effect from the afternoon of April 7," said another notification issued by the ministry. For his elevation to the air chief, Air Commodore Ziaur Rahamn has been promoted to air vice-marshal with effect from the forenoon of April 8.
