Today's consultation will be on Goal Five: To have a health-endowed nation.

The committee has identified eight inter-related goals for the Vision 2021. Earlier it organised three consultation sessions on separate goals.

A 'steady state' population level, reduced neo-natal mortality and maternal mortality, increased awareness of women's reproductive issues, universal access to world-class primary healthcare, improved consumer awareness about food adulteration, universal access to safe water and sanitation and many other relevant issues will be deliberated and consulted upon at today's session.

The Nagorik Committee 2006 is now going through a process of consultation with expert groups about the draft outline.
