A C-130 cargo of Bangladesh Air Force left Dhaka for Islamabad yesterday with medicines and relief materials for the severe earthquake affected people in Pakistan.

An ISPR press release said the relief materials include: five tons of blanket, 1.5 tons medicines, half ton high protein biscuits and one ton winter clothes.

The government of Bangladesh has sent the relief materials for the earthquake-affected people in response to the call from Pakistan.

Earlier, before departure of the Cargo plane from Kurmitola Air Force tarmac, munajat was offered seeking blessings of Allah for the departed souls and early recovery of the injured in Saturday's earthquake.

Pakistan High Commissioner in Dhaka Alamgir Babar, Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Fakhrul Azam and Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division were present on the occasion.
