Shibir bars screening of films against fundamentalism

Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) members at the Chittagong University (CU) barred a cultural group from screening the films, Lal Shalu and Matir Moina, two anti-funda-mentalism films at the CU Social Science Faculty hall on Friday night.

Sunbeam Cultural Group that organised a two-day film festival on March 25 to 26 to mark the Independence Day was forced to replace the anti-dogmatism films in its schedule with two commercial ones. Satisfied, the ICS activists then joined the watchers and relished a commercial film named Wrong Number, screened instead.
