Intelligence agents have picked up a man suspecting that he sent an email from a cyber cafe to a leading newspaper threatening to kill Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina in a week, sources said. They said Shaibal Saha Partha, who allegedly mailed The Prothom Alo on August 23 from Hardnet cyber café on Elephant Road also claiming responsibility for Saturday's grenade attack as an operative of Hikmatul Zihad, was arrested early yesterday. Police also arrested Sujauddowla, owner of the cyber café, along with Partha, who hails from Comilla and resides on Elephant Road. Partha did his masters in business administration in India. They released Sujauddowla after preliminary interrogation, but were checking emails sent from 23 houses wired by the broadband internet service provided by the café. The Prothom Alo and a number of newspapers carried the email threat that shocked the nation still reeling from the grenade attack that killed 19 people and injured over 200 people.
