The dissemination workshop on 'Identifying the strategies and benefits of onsite childcare facility' was organised by Phulki in association with Manusher Jonno at the BRAC Centre Inn in the city on Tuesday. The speakers said due to lack of childcare centre at the workplace, mothers remain anxious about their children and could not concentrate their mind to their duties. But an organisation needs a happy workforce to get quality service and production from them, they pointed out. So, for the interest of the organisations and factories, the authorities must set up childcare centre on their premises, suggested the speakers. They also mentioned that as the children of the working mother remain alone at home, their physical and mental growth also suffer. Addressing the workshop, Shaheen Anam, team leader of Manusher Jonno, said childcare is not only the duty of mothers but also the responsibility of the society.
