BNP leader murdered in Kushtia

A BNP leader and former Union Parishad member was slaughtered by unidentified miscreants at Jorapukuria village in Harinakundu upazila in Jhenidah district Monday night.The dead was identified as Moksed Ali, 60, former member of Harinakundu UP. According to family sources, Moksed was missing since he felt home for the upazila headquarter at about 4 pm on Monday. Police recovered the body with the throat slit from Jorapukuria field on Tuesday in the afternoon and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar hospital for autopsy. A case was filed with Harin-akundu police station. Police could not say anything about the cause of the murder. Jhenidah BNP held a rally and brought out a procession in the town yesterday protesting the murder.
