AL organising secy tells Debhata council
Unite to protest govt's 'misrule'

Awami League (AL) Organising Secretary Abdul Mannan has said the BNP-Jamaat government has delivered nothing but crime, corruption and politicisation of administration during its over two year's rule. He was addressing a council of Debhata thana AL at Sakhipur cinema on Tuesday. He said the government has turned the country into a safe heaven for communal groups. "People are burnt to death and human rights are being violated," he said. Abdul Mannan called upon pro-liberation forces to unite to free the people from the government's "misrule" and to protect democracy. The council was addressed by, among others, AL leaders Talukder Abdul Khaleque MP, SM Kamal Hossain, former MCA Momtaz Ahmed, Dr AFM Ruhul Haq, Monsur Ahmed, Nazrul Islam. Debhata thana AL President Gold Mostofa Presided over the council. The council formed a 67- member Debhata thana AL committee headed by Golam Mostafa and Maniruzzaman as its president and general secretary respectively.
