Emirates, Lufthansa sign deal
Emirates Airline and Lufthansa Technik have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the possibilities of greater co-operation in the field of technical services.Tim Clark, president of Emirates Airline, and August W Henningsen, chairman of Lufthansa Technik, signed the deal on behalf their organisations during the 8th International Aerospace Exhibition in Dubai recently, says a press release. The agreement will evaluate the feasibility of a joint venture for spare pooling support. The project initially will use Airbus A340-500 and A340-600 aircraft to review the joint venture proposal.
